The last month in an extraordinary year. No need to elaborate, we all know it.
I was really happy with the reading of The Blank Page and while I intended it to be a short little play unto itself, I’m seriously toying with writing more ‘episodes’ and seeing what happens. I’m pretty certain that’s what I’m going to do.
I performed a monologue entitled ‘Walking Home’ by Marj O’Neill-Butler for the Faces of America #2 Festival — I’m the second actor to perform, so it’s easy to find me.
Still getting familiar with zoom and not sure I ever will feel at home with having to perform on this platform, but it’s better than nothing, so I’m grateful for the opportunity.
I’ve been asked to join a small writers group out of Washington DC, and I’m super excited about that. We’ll meet twice a month and take turns sharing whatever we’ve got. Two of the writers I know and they are fantastic, so I’m hoping to up my game with the exposure to their work and look forward to meeting some other new inspirations.
I’m going to take much of this month to reflect and hopefully dust off a script or two to get back at re-writes. I want to be at full speed to welcome in 2021.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and here’s to a breathtaking New Year.
