I’m certain I am not the only one who feels how fast this year has gone, kind of like a speeding locomotive, but despite all that’s played out on the world stage, for me personally it’s been good.
I was very pleased to have been part of the Playground Experiment’s 5th annual Faces of America Festival. I directed five of the monologues, and it was an enriching experience not only to work with writers I didn’t know, but a new group of actors I hadn’t worked with. It was wonderful! And the entire evening was a big success.
Being able to perform in the Marjorie Dean Theatre is also a joy, and I am looking forward to this Monday December 11th to present more of my play The Blank Page.
I had let this simmer while I worked on In An Instant, which I still owe time to, but it was nice to get back to these characters and move them along.
I’ve been enjoying auditioning at Equity and though I haven’t aced that contract yet, I’m getting called back and feel good about the work I present. It’s just a matter of having the right part that fits and me stepping into it!
Back with my tango partner and my legs feel that tango ache which is great. Dancing in heels for long periods of time does have an effect, so I’m trying to stretch as much as possible. But it’s fantastic.
Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday Season, Merry Christmas, and all the best for 2024.
Peace to Everyone!
