Boy has this year gone by fast…and maybe that’s a good thing.

Our Faces of America Monologue Festival was wonderful. This was the 6th year we’ve done it and it is something that continues to be quite extraordinary. This year I was given a monologue written by Leslie Corn titled ‘Ellie’s Goodbye’. I was grateful to perform something so eloquent and heartfelt. I know it touched people because they came up to me afterwards and told me so. In the 6 years we’ve put this on, I have had my monologue chosen and performed (and published too), I’ve directed, and I’ve performed in several as well. Enjoyment all around.

Janice Orlandi’s class at HB studios finished up and it was a fun dive into some interesting physical work I had not done before. I feel it’s always good, and essential actually, for actors to keep up their craft. Since we have more than one thing to think about, it’s an ongoing challenge.

I’m a full member of the Times Square Square Dance ensemble and that is so much fun. I’m still making mistakes and turn the wrong way sometimes, but everyone there is so nice, they just turn me around and point me in the right direction! It’s a blast.

Lots of screenings to get to before we have to vote and I am doing my best to get to as many as possible.

In An Instant is taking on an altogether different tone so I plan to carve out as much writing time this month as possible. I’m excited to see what I can find out about these characters.

And finally, it’s time to get out the Christmas decorations and fire up the stove for cookies and everything sweet and tasty.
