A fun filled month! Beginning with Dave Malouf’s play ‘Troll’, which I am directing, we open Thursday Oct 7th and run thru Sunday Oct 10th at the Sgouros Theatre on MacDougal street in the Village. I have the wonderfully talented Brian Richardson playing the Troll, so directing this is an absolute joy. A few last costume things to attend to, and we’ll be set.

I have been cast as Gertrude – yes, Hamlet’s mom – in Erin Moughon-Smith’s new play ‘Gertrude’ which will have its debut on Sunday Oct 23rd at 5pm. Reading a early draft of this play was so much fun, and Erin’s skillful writing will make this continuation of development really interesting. Her ideas about Gertrude are profound and I am very pleased and excited to play her.
Tango is alive and well! I went to a milonga at La Nacional on Thursday – fantastico! Every Thursday from 7-2am from now on, my hope is to be there as many Thursdays as possible! Friday mornings I’ll be soaking my feet.
Oh, forgot to mention I submitted a super short play to Break a Leg Productions for their Love Festival. They requested a full length play in 5 pages. No easy task, but I did it, so we shall see if it is chosen. Wish me luck!
That’s it so far for October, but you never know what lurks around the corner….hopefully more treats than tricks, right?
Happy Halloween!
