The first week of this year has certainly been dramatic. Here in New York City we’ve been in the deep freeze and had the fun of a highly theatrical blizzard with all the trimmings……….so this blog had to wait till things thawed out and warmed up!
But……..the year is off to a good start. I am embarking on a project headed by Jake Lipman, artistic director of Tongue In Cheek Theatre Company. Jake has invited 12 women to create a piece, which we hope to present in the spring, garnered from our mutual and individual experiences. We had the initial gathering yesterday at Jake’s and I’m really enthused about this. A rich and broad tapestry will we weave!
ALL CATHERINE’S reading last month at the Music Hall was wonderful. I couldn’t have been happier with my actors or audience and am equally enthused about moving this project forward this year. It’s a worthy effort and I am very hopeful that at least a showcase can be achieved.
I’m also going be narrating an audio book sometime in the next few months. Technical issues need to be ironed out, especially since I am of no help in that department so stay tuned for updates.
Also have a fun audition for the Hudson Warehouse’s spring production of TROJAN WOMEN next week. I’m looking forward to that.
All in all, snowstorm included, it’s a fabulous beginning to what will be, I know, a stupendous year!
Happy 2018 to all.
