The year is flashing by – but things are happening. Even in the heat and humidity.
Our performances of Scratch went well and I only wish we had a few more because the actors were so good. It was gratifying for me as a director to see the work take shape and fly. Also, it was the first time I had done lights, which was scary for me, even though it was just fade in and out, nevertheless it was stressful till I did it a few times. I have new respect for the technical talent that helps create our shows. It definitley requires that certain ‘something’.
Now to working on In An Instant for this month and August. I am dedicating myself to having a full re-write of the script by the end of the summer, if not before. If there’s any time left over, the A Blank Page will benefit, but my focus is on In An Instant.
All this in addition to lots of tango. I am dancing more and really see the difference in my technique, not to mention having a partner to practice with really helps. It takes two to tango, and that’s the truth! I am hopeful to have something more to say about the movement of Steel Tango soon, and trust the sprites are working out the details in the ethers and will let me know – as I continue working on patience and endurance.
