Wow, the past two months have been jam packed and it looks like March will be too, but with a little breathing room. Yeah!

Hook, Lie & Sinker was a success at The Players Short Play Festival. We got voted Best Play for our stint, and I was pleased for everyone involved. That is a nice space to work in and the folks running the festival are terrific.

On to the next project – I’ve been asked to direct an invited reading of a full length play by Ian Adrian entitled The Kaiser, Tea and Me. It’s a period piece set in 1900 Prussia, involving the true life relationship between Kaiser Wilhelm and Elizabeth Staudt, with various other crazy characters popping in and out. A different subject matter for me, and it will be a real joy to help bring it to life. The actual reading will be Saturday April 18th – details to follow, so stay tuned!

And to continue on with my own In An Instant – I had a very insightful reading of 3 scenes towards the end of the play that shed light on how to proceed and also whether to take the act break where I had it – or not. So helpful to get feedback and more importantly – to hear it.

There hasn’t been much for me to audition for, and I’ve been otherwise occupied, along with trying to watch the films and shows so I could vote in the SAG awards.

This year’s movies were not always easy to watch. My fav was Song Sung Blues. I loved Kate Hudson’s performance.

Many will be wearing the green on the 17th, so get ready for lots of cabbage and leprechauns!
