November 2019

This year has flown by, and at times, it’s hard to keep up with the pace of it all.

But a bright and happy pace it is! My ten minute play YAKITY YAK is happening next weekend as part of The AlphaNYC Theatre’s Thalia Festival, at the Producer’s Club on 44th Street. I am very excited to see it. First time I’ve not had anything to do with something I’ve written, and only attending as an audience member. I intend to sit back, relax and enjoy.

I found out this morning that a monologue I submitted for The Faces of America Monologue Festival was chosen. There were over 130 submitted and they chose 30, so I feel honored to be included. They are printing a book with all the monologues that can be purchased at the festival and online with a portion of the proceeds going to the ACLU. This is happening on Nov 18th at the Kraine Theatre. I’ll be a published writer with this.

I’ve been mulling over what I want to do with ALL CATHERINE. I plan to expand scene 2, and have just been pondering. Sometimes it’s good to set things aside and let them simmer.

And there’s a new play of mine that has magic dust sprinkled on it, so maybe next month I’ll have something to share with you. Stay tuned!

Tango continues to be amazing. I’m feeling much better about my understanding of it and knowing where I need to improve….likewise with my ballroom dancing. That quickstep is tricky!

Didn’t make it to one audition but you never know. There’s lots of possibilities and it just takes one.

Happy Thanksgiving!
