The next incarnation of Unfamiliar opens October 10th at The Players Theatre for four performances, and it’s satisfying to have another crack at it. I like directing. It’s exhausting and fulfilling at the same time. This pass takes the piece in a different light, hopefully we’ve deepened our involvement and found new things – I think we have. If you came to our performances in August at The Secret Theatre, this will be different, so please come again!
I felt good about my last audition at Equity for the Florida Studio Theatre, so we shall see if anything comes of it, other than feeling really good. This week I’ll be in front of a casting director I’ve not met before, so something may come of that too. One never knows what the universe will bring!
I started taking a floor barre from Marguerite Wesley at Steps after being away for way too long and it’s amazing how much better I feel. Marguerite is a super teacher and I’m very grateful for the recommendation from my friend Richard Stafford about the class. Square dancing classes are fun and challenging and tango is still in my sights as well.
Fall is my favorite time; and I intend to concentrate on that, try my best to keep that positive vibe going no matter what else is happening on the planet, and send that positivity out to everyone everywhere. I think every bit helps.
